Introduction

I specialise in finding the colour in shades of grey.

I believe that successful, modern brands exist in the space between what they say, and what they do; between storytelling and service.

I like exploring the middle ground between old habits and new behaviours; between online and off.

And I operate in the liminal space between technology and culture; between what things look like and how they work.

Maybe you’re looking to design a service or customer experience that feels distinctive, and specific to your brand.

Maybe you’re looking to tell a story that speaks to the interests of your audience, and is designed specifically for the contexts in which they’re going to consume it.

Either way, you’re looking for a creative, customer-centric systems thinker that’s sensitive to the needs of the business, and the nuances of the brand.

In which case, maybe I can help :)

Testimonials

Ben combines strong insight with deep passion for the work. And he brings simplicity and clarity to the most complex of challenges.
— Wanja Bont, Leader, PwC Experience Center Zürich
Ben is one of the most uniquely talented people I’ve worked with. Blessed with an array of multi-discipline skills, infectiously positive and straight-talking, he’s someone you always want on your side, whatever the weather.
— Jonathan Reeves, Head of Audience Development, Universal Music Group
Ben brings unwavering commitment to project, team and client. He’s a committed leader, a safe pair of hands - and a lot of fun to work with, too!
— Helen Le Voi, Executive Creative Director, Method
Ben is really smart and has a bundle of energy. He’s got oodles of varied experience, but he’s uncynical and bursting with ideas. It’s a winning combination.
— Juliet Haygarth, CEO, Effies UK

Background

Old enough to remember the dotcom boom and have my start-up stripes. Young enough to get as excited about digital as I was two decades ago (but still keep a hold of my dignity). Big enough to have a number of award-winning projects under my belt. Ugly enough that you wouldn’t notice the bruises that came with them.
